How to use Gevey/China3gpp sim?

Both Gevey/China3gpp shares the same approach, so the following steps are applicable to both with minor differences that are clearly marked below.

No Jailbreak is needed!

1. Prepare your sim by first cut your top right corner of microsim with nail cutter so that the module can be fitted. First put china3gpp into the tray and then put your sim on top of it.

2. Turn off iPhone 4, insert the above prepared tray into iPhone.

3. Turn on iPhone 4, unlock sim starts work immediately, first a greeting screen with instructions pops up. Please read and then select accept.

4. iPhone shows "No Sim Card Installed". This is the starting point, click ok.

5. Wait for 15 seconds. Dial 112 and immediately hang it up (please do within 2 seconds). Please note that 112 is an emergency number.

6. The hang up screen will persist a few seconds. This is normal. As soon as the screen returns, within 5 seconds, goto Settings, and turn on Airplane Mode.

7. Wait for about 30~40 seconds, "No sim installed" message pops up. Click OK. Then turn OFF the Airplane mode

8. Wait a little bit until "Sim failure" pops up. The unlocking program is working now. Within a few seconds, iPhone will start to search for signal, be patient. One moment later, you will see iPhone connected to your beloved carrier!

To enable internet, please setup APN (if any) and turn on "Data Roaming"

A big advanced part of China3gpp unlock wizard is that it monitors your progress and detects failures due to dialing 112 too early or turning on airplane mode too late. At such time, a message pops up to instruct you start over. Gevey however is still lack of this feature so far as we can tell.
